Quinn + Bao

" Underneath The Light"
Juan Paolo

There you are
Underneath the light
Shining brightly
Like an angel walking down the aisle

Pick a dress
And give it life
You're such a beautiful creature
And I'm thankful you're all mine

I will be there every time you call my name
Let's build a castle, have lots of kids and play all day
I am yours

No one nails a lace wedding gown like Quinn. When I saw her at the ceremony, I was stunned, she just looked so beautiful in that wedding gown!

Quinn found me through her friend (Vince) two weeks before her wedding. She came to meet me at FilmNeverDie’s Polaroid shop, and we ended up with two hours of girls talk… 70% of it chatting about our countries, about our loves towards animals, about Vince and Ryo’s wedding which I shot last December, and only 30% of it Quinn’s wedding. This girl is so down to earth and easy to chat with.

Can you believe that it was Bao’s parents and grandma who match made this couple? Quinn first met Bao during a family friends gathering when she was only 19, and Bao left a  good impression in her heart. Quinn decided to move back to Vietnam in 2011, but coincidentally she met Bao’s family again before doing so. Under the encouragement of Bao’s parents, Bao bravely asked Quinn to be his girlfriend and she decided to stay in Melbourne for him. That was so sweet!

Before the wedding ceremony, I told Quinn:” Bao is handsome!” She shaked her head with disagreement and looked at Bao:” NOoooooo...” Bao was standing there and smiling back at us.

I still remember this funny moment just after the ceremony: as the celebrant were announcing that guests could come forward to congratulate the couple, but everyone was too shy to do so. Quinn took the initiative, opened her arms wide and said:” Come! Come and hug me!!!”  Oh this girl, she made everyone laughed.

I enjoyed being a second shooter at Quinn and Bao’s wedding. I had a great time exploring Werribee Mansion in that fine Summer afternoon. It reminded me of how I started as a wedding photographer - I crashed others' weddings, and discovered the fun of shooting from under tables and behind of trees (all the obscure places).

I had some much fun and even had a brief chat with the wedding singers (Bobz and Candy from Colorfulblac). Bobz was kind enough to teach me some singing techniques before I left. Practising my newly learned singing techniques, I hum my way out of this wondering mansion congratulating this wonderful newly wed.

  1. The best venues are Boston Wedding venues which are inexpensive and offers me great services. I always wanted to reserve best venue for my wedding and these venues are just the same.
