Elly + Graham: Wedding at The International, Brighton

"I Wanna Be Yours"
by Attic Monkeys

I wanna be your vacuum cleaner
Breathing in your dust
I wanna be your Ford Cortina
I won't ever rust
If you like your coffee hot
Let me be your coffee pot
You call the shots babe
I just wanna be yours

Secrets I have held in my heart
Are harder to hide than I thought
Maybe I just wanna be yours
I wanna be yours, I wanna be yours
Wanna be yours, wanna be yours, wanna be yours

The first time we met Elly and Graham, straight away we felt the connection and became friends on Instagram. They drive the coolest car I have ever seen - I named it "fridge car". I love how genuine this couple are, we chatted and we laughed over their love story.

Few weeks later, Elly called me on her lunch break. She wanted to prank me by telling me that they are not going ahead with my photography service, but she couldn't hide her happiness and I could feel her excitement over the phone! Me, walking on the street, was jumping for joy! Oh I couldn't believe that they chose me! To be honest, I was very upset the night before Elly called me, because I was lack of self confident and I thought they might go for other photographers who can shoot better photos than me.

To my surprise, Elly wrote a blog post about me! Elly, you have no idea how honoured I feel to be featured on your blog, because blogging is one of your favourite hobbies. I simply just love the title of the blog post, " Wei Wei". That's the very first time I was being written in a blog! http://ellebambi.com/her-name-is-wei-wei/

This lovely couple first met at a prom night when Elly was 16 years old. It was love at first sight. OK this is a very interesting love story... Elly and Tammi are best friends, who fall in love at first sight with twin brothers, Graham and Ben. The best friends told each other over the phone that they like one of the twins, and of course they were afraid that they might like the same person. So on the count of three, Elly and Tammi said out the names of the brothers whom they like. Guess what, Tammi is not only Elly's best friend, but she is now also Elly's sister-in-law!

The wedding ceremony and reception took place at The International, Brighton. I have never been to The International, but according to Elly, it is a popular venue for weddings and events. And that was where Elly and Graham met at a prom night about 10 years ago! Ahhh 10 years later, they were having their love celebrated at The International, not The Universal... (During a meeting before the their wedding, I kept mentioning "The Universal", then Elly asked where is The Universal? Then we laughed out loud... Oh dear, I have the names all mixed up!)

Graham became teary when he saw his love one walked down the aisle. Then I realised, true love can make a real man cry. This couple has been through the ups and downs together for the past ten years. The rose shaped diamond engagement ring was designed by Graham himself and hand crafted by
Graham's uncle, which symbolised a flower that last forever.

The games at the reception, how can I not mention it! I was laughing hard behind the camera.  A big thumb up to the bridal party, they are loud, funny and fun to work with! The whole day was filled with joyous laughter. They are probably the craziest bridal party I've ever worked with!

At the end of the day, when Graham and Elly grabbed our hands, thanked us and hugged us, that was what really matters - friendship. Few weeks later, Elly called me after she received a few highlight photos from me. We almost burst into tears again over the phone. Check out Elly's blog post about the wedding: http://ellebambi.com/elly-graham/

Elly and Graham, thank you so much for choosing us, having fun with us, seating us at the reception, and providing us good food. You might not know this, but I became teary everytime when I edit your wedding photos, because it was just too touching, especially when Graham's mother and Elly cried at the tea ceremony. Thank you again and I wish you a lot of happiness to come :D
