Spring Series: Turquoise

Specially for Denara,

Denara is my new neighbour. She moved from Uzbekistan to Melbourne ten years ago with her family. For geographical reason, all Uzbekistani must either learn to speak Russian or Mandarin, which makes Denara a genius in languages - she speaks Uzbek, Turkish, Russian, Mandarin and French. She sees me working at my window everyday and described me in a most creative sentence:

" I am weiving at Wei Wei, the weiferful weiman who is sitting by her weindow weirking for Aweiding."

Her favourite colour is Turquoise and her drawer is full of Turquoise jewelries! Our first conversation was about her shoes, I asked her where did she get her black boots and without any hesitation she offered to bring me shopping and even cooked us yummy Turkish food.  I love her personalities, so friendly and thoughtful, she is definitely the best person to hang out with. She likes to ask for kisses and whenever she does something wrong, she would shout:" Love me! Say you love me!" How can we not love her?

We had fun doing the photo shoot together because she brought us a lot of laughter. On the way to the golf course for photo shoot, people couldn't get their eyes off of her. There's a random man passing us, and Denara joked that:" I am going to attend my wedding, where is my husband? There he is! You're late!"

Denara, it was such a pleasure to have you as our model. Thank you so much for the friendship. I love you for who you are!

Jocelin + Jared

"You and I"
by Ingrid Michaelson

Don't you worry there my honey

We might not have any money

But we've got our love to pay the bills

Maybe I think you're cute and funny,

Maybe I wanna do what bunnies do with you

If you know what I mean

Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents homes in the South of France
Let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
And teach them how to dance
Let's get rich and build our house on a mountain
Making everybody look like ants
From way up there, you and I, you and I, you and I

Well you might be a bit confused
And you might be a little bit bruised
But baby how we spoon like no one else
So I will help you read those books
If you will soothe my worried looks
And we will put the lonesome on the shelf

I see true friendship
I see kindness
I see pure love
Flowing from them

Oh I have so much to write about Joce and Jared. Some of their guests thought we were related to Joce but we were complete strangers, then she found my wedding photography blog ( I was praying for jobs) and now we are friends!

Thank you God for the great weather on the day of Joce and Jared's wedding! Love love love the garden decoration in Joce's garden, her mom, Ingke did a great job! There were so many things to shoot around her house - they are all colourful and beautiful. Joce even made Gary and I some special gifts! She is a very creative graphic designer who cheers people's lives up with colours- check out her website, feathertop ink. On top of that, she made the best strawberry jam in the world. Her yummy homemade strawberry jam kicked start my past few days!

Dear Joce and Jared, your wedding was one of my greatest experience since I came to Melbourne, not only because of your wonderful wedding, your kind and lovely family members, bridesmaids and best men, it's also because that God blessed me with someone so beautiful like you guys in my life. Pardon me for crying at the end of your wedding reception, I just couldn't help it, both of you are just too beautiful, too beautiful and thank you for showing me how beautiful life is! God bless beautiful people!
