Welcoming Baby Siow

I met Kai and Sue Mei two years ago, at our church's Pre Marriage course. Their wedding was the first wedding I shot in Melbourne. I am always thankful for them in giving me the chance to build up my photography career.

Sue Mei has her signature laugh, which makes her really easy to be photographed. She is a good cook and she loves to share her cooking with others, and of course, I am one of the lucky beneficiaries. She said:" God loves a cheerful giver."

Kai is a man of wisdom. Whenever I feel drained, he would give me some words of wisdom, which makes me feel peace, and I respect him alot. How beautiful are these two souls!

From shooting their wedding photos, to receive postcard from their honeymoon trip, to their good news in having baby Siow, to maternity photo shoot, I am proud to say that I am part of their history haha!

Although we hardly catch up, but deep inside my heart, I know that Sue Mei is one of the true friends that God put into my life. I just want to say, I am very happy about your new chapter! We are counting down excitingly to meet you, baby Siow.

PS: This adorable pair of red shoes are the first present Kai and Sue Mei bought for baby Siow :)

I Wish You Love

" I Wish You Love"
by Ann Sally

I wish you bluebirds in the spring
To give your heart a song to sing
And then a kiss
But more than this
I wish you love

And in July a lemonade
To cool you in some leafy glade
I wish you health
And more than wealth
I wish you love

My breaking heart and I agree
That you and I could never be
So with my best, my very best
I set you free

I wish you shelter from the storm
A cozy fire to keep you warm
But most of all
When snowflakes fall
I wish you love

I wish you shelter from the storm
A cozy fire to keep you warm
But most of all
When snowflakes fall
I wish you love

God sent Gary into my life when I completely lost hope in love and marriage. I thought I would never found a good man, I thought I would never be happy, but I would never thought that God is always ahead of me. He gave me the biggest gift in my life.

This guy, he is an angel. He is totally the opposite of me, he smiles a lot, he talks a lot, he dances a lot, and he makes me happy. His love helps me to walk out from my past.

I am sooooooo thankful for my life now - wake up by his kiss every morning, and we kiss our dog, Headie good night every night. I love acting, so everytime when Gary does some silly expressions or dances, I would do role swap, act like him and make him watches me. He would give me that "I hate you" look and say:" You look so ugly! Can you please stop mimicking me?!"

And also, I have a hobby jotting down his silly stories in my note pad. Sometimes he would make me chase him in the field, we run like two little kids with a lot of giggles. Sometimes when he does something wrong, he would act innocent like our dog, hoping that I would not punish him. Sometimes when he comes home from soccer game, I would hide under the table and play hide and seek (but our room is way too small to play hide and seek haha! I just enjoy the moment when he finds me). Sometimes when we watch tv, we would hug each other and cry over a sad story or laugh out the loudest we can over a funny scene. Sometimes we would cycle to the bush and watch sunset with our dog. Sometimes we would bake muffins for neighbours and make our 80-years-old neighbour tells us about her story during the 1950s. Sometimes we would go to Coles at 11pm and do silly dances along the food isle while no one is watching.  Ahhhhhhh, happiness is just as simple as that. We don't need the best of everything, but we make the best out of everything.

My close friends and family could witness the changes in me - I am such a happy person and confident in talking to people now. Even my parents love Gary, how blessed I am!

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing me with this wonderful man. We will continue to learn about life together, grow together and continue to be each other's best friends.

Happy Anniversary to Creepo, Hippo and Headie.

Dawn + Tjin - Pre-Wedding Album

"I Can't Help Falling In Love With You"
by Ingrid Michaelson

Wise men say
Only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay
would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
So take my hand, and take my whole life too
Cause I can't help falling in love with you
Cause I can't help falling in love
Falling in love
Falling in love
With you

16.12.2013

Tjin lives in Melbourne, and Dawn lived in Singapore. They were introduced by Lynsey, because they have a very special talent -- flower tongue. Lynsey told Tjin:" This is Dawn, who can make flower tongue just like you!" And so the flower tongue love story started to flourish. How amazing is God! The two flower tongues finally found each other!

When they shown me their special talent during the photo shoot, I was shocked... I have never seen flower tongue before, I can't even roll my tongue.

But their love story is far more beyond flower tongue. I totally understand the bitter sweet of long distance relationship. It requires a lot of faith. As Tjin mentioned at their wedding reception, they spent 1196 days of talking everyday long distance, and they have not missed any single day. And within the three years, they have flown 30 single flights to see each other. I can't help shed a few tears of happiness each time I watch their wedding reception video :http://vimeo.com/91826130#at=0, they finally get to hold each other's hand everyday!

We shared a lot about our journey as Christians during the photo shoot. Dawn and Tjin are such lovely children of God. Tjin is one of the musicians at our church and he is extremely talented. They are also big fans of Thai food and they generously treated us dinner at Thai restaurant after the photo shoot. I am very thankful that Tjin shared these photos with his friends and colleagues, which brings more blessings to my career.

I can't wait to give both of you a big HUG when I see you! I promise to cook you guys a Thai feast haha!

PS: I am sure your kids will have super flower tongues!
